ISO Approved Software

The Commonwealth of Virginia requires that all software installed on state owned computers that are used for other than 'instruction' or 'research' be approved by the Information Security Officer (ISO) for that agency/institution. This applies to Old Dominion University and the computers owned by the University. Before software is installed, make sure that it is listed on the list below. By definition, any software NOT listed here is not approved.

Software being listed here makes NO statement on the level of University support available for installation or support or it's suitability for any specific purpose. Being listed here also makes NO statement on the appropriateness of the software for your workplace setting.

Request for software to be added to the 'ISO Approved Software' list may be sent to occshelp@odu.edu. Please specify the software title, manufacturer, version, web site, and intended purpose for the software.

Note: 'All*' in the version column means any version of the product that is still supported by the manufacturer and is up-to-date on current patches.
