Groups created within Google Groups are not mail routable, because our systems have no way of automatically knowing what groups you create. Emails sent to groups that you create will bounce.
Because Gmail is disabled for faculty and staff, you cannot use your @odu.edu account to log onto Chromium OS computers such as the Google Chromebook, or the Google Chromebox.
We recommend that you do not use Google Voice with your @odu.edu account, because Google does not offer support to that feature for Google apps users. If you choose to still use this service, keep in mind that we will not be able to provide support for it.
EMAIL & Calendaring Services for Faculty and Staff: Do not attempt to sync Google calendar with your @odu.edu account; this will create synchronization problems because your Exchange account and calendar utilize your @odu.edu account for those resources.
If you have both a faculty / staff AND student role when you log in via Shibboleth, you will be provided the option to select which account to log in with. Once you have selected one account of the other, you must log out/sign out of the applications you are using with that account before you can log in using the other.
