UNIX HARDWARE
Contracts have been awarded to two providers for UNIX hardware maintenance:
- Logicon

Several pricing levels, with pricing at each level dependent upon the type of equipment.

The agreement is based upon the traditional Sun service plans and provides substantial discounts off the current educational list prices for all services.
The following discounts shall apply to all equipment during the term of the agreement:
- Warranty: 40% - new products only
- End user: 8%
- Academic/Education: 15% - Gold and Platinum Agreements
- Scholarpac III: 50% - Silver and Bronze Agreements
- Special Customer Allowance: 20%
- Multi-year: 8%
- Prepayment: 6.5%
The following uplift rates shall apply during the term of the agreement:
- On-site: 30%
- Silver 24-hour phone support: 20%
- Bronze 2-hour response: 50%
