TN3270 for Windows 95/NT
Please note that OCCS does not have Windows 98 in the computing environment. The instructions provided below have not been tested with Windows 98.

  • Download TN3270 for Windows NT.
  • A pop up window with a warning message will appear. Click on the Save to disk option, and click the OK button.
  • The Save As... window will appear. Select the C:\Temp directory.
  • Click the Save button.

Installing TN3270

  • Click on the Windows NT Start button.
  • Click on Run. The Run pop up window will appear.
  • In the Open field, type C:\Temp\Mw3270.exe
  • Click OK button. The unzip process will begin.
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon located on your desktop.
  • Double-click the C:\ drive.
  • Double-click Temp folder
  • Double-click the Setup.exe file. The TN3270 setup process will begin.
  • The License Agreement window will appear. Click the Yes button.
  • Click the Installation button.
  • Click the OK button. Installation is complete.

Running TN3270

  • Click on the Windows NT Start button.
  • Click Programs, and then click Mtn3270 to launch the application.
  • From the Menu Bar, click on File.
  • Click on Connect. The Connect pop up window will appear.
  • In the Host field type oduvm.cc.odu.edu or odumvs.cc.odu.edu.
  • Click the OK button.
  • The About Mocha TN3270 pop up window will appear. Click the Accept button.
  • The VM/XA screen will appear.

Exiting TN3270

  • Logout of your mainframe account.
  • From the Menu Bar, click on File.
  • Click on Disconnect.
  • From the Menu Bar, click on File.
  • Click on Exit.
