CCA Setup instructions

  1. Connect the computer to the wall jack in the dormitory using an Ethernet (RJ-45) cable.
  2. Open Internet Explorer and you will automatically be redirected to the CCA installation page.
  3. Click the "continue button to download and run Cisco Clean Access Java Applet web client.
  4. If a pop up occurs stating "This website wants to install the following add-on: 'Cisco Clean Access Web Login Facilitator' from 'Cisco Systems', you will need to enable ActiveX control for the program.  This can be done by clicking the pop-up bar that appears at the top of the window and selecting "Install ActiveX Control..."

  1. A security warning will occur asking if you would like to install the Cisco Clean Access Web Login Facilitator.  Select install.

  1. You will be taken to the following screen where you must enter your ODU Midas user ID and password.  The Provider must be kept as RESNET login

  1. Select 'No' if an AutoComplete Passwords box pops up.

  1. Read the Network Security Notice that is shown, and then click the 'Download Clean Access Agent 4.X.X.X'.

  1. The File Download box will pop up.  Select 'Run'.

  1. Select 'Run' again if given the following warning.

  1. Select 'Next' to begin the installation of CCA.

  1. Select 'Next'.

  1. Select 'Install'.

  1. Select 'Finish'.

  1. Enter your ODU Midas user ID and password in the fields.  Leave the drop down menu as 'RESNET Login'.  Click 'Login'.

  1. You will then be prompted to install the latest version of CCA. Click 'OK'

  1. The download of the newer version will occur automatically. Click 'Next'

  1. Click 'Next'

  1. Select 'Install'

  1. Wait for the agent to complete the installation.

  1. When the installion is complete, click 'Finish'. In the Login screen, enter your Midas ID and Password.

  1. If the PC fails, you will be given limited internet access to correct/update the necessary items.

  1. Click 'Accept'

  1. Click 'OK'

You will only need to download and install the client once. Authentication will be required each time you access network resources. The only required re-authentication will occur at 6:00 am on Sunday mornings unless you logout or disconnect your machine from the network.
