NOTICE: During the upcoming year ODU will be migrating from Novell to a Microsoft Active Directory based file system, because of this IUser will be discontinued as a service for remote access to files.
Student Information
Students will be the first to be migrated to the new file system on May 11th, at the beginning of Summer Semester. Student remote access to the new file system will be via WebDAV after that date. Information and instructions for accessing files remotely via WebDAV can be found at OCCS's "WebDAV Connection to Microsoft Windows Files".
Faculty/Staff Information
Faculty and Staff will be migrated through the summer and Fall Semesters. Information about the migration can be found at the Ad Migration Project site. After departments are migrated to Windows file system, remote access to Home directory (H: drive) and Departmental shares (J: drive) will be via ODU's VPN by simply mapping a drive or using WebDAV. Directions for accessing files remotely via VPN can be found at OCCS's "WebDAV Connection to Microsoft Windows Files". The campus share (I: drive) will still be accessed remotely via IUser until all Colleges and Departments have been migrated.
