IUser (Internet User Admin)

Internet User Admin (IUser) is a web-based utility that allows Old Dominion University faculty, staff and students to access and manage files stored on the University's NetWare servers from any location via an Internet browser. Each individual may access any directories/files to which they have rights, including their H:\ drive and shared departmental directories.

IUser requires Internet Explorer version 4.0 or greater or Netscape Navigator 4.7 or higher. It does not require Java applets or plug-ins.

There is an issue with Internet Explorer 7 running under Microsoft Vista.  Make the following change for it to work properly:

  • Load Internet Explorer 7
  • Select Tools (upper right)
  • Select Internet Options from the pulldown menu
  • Click Advanced
  • Under Security section, Check  "Use SSL 2.0"
  • Click OK
