INSTANT MESSAGING (SAMETIME)
Lotus Instant Messaging (Sametime) is now integrated with the Lotus Notes Client. However, it is only available to Windows version of IBM Lotus Notes. Notes instant messaging allows you to see your coworkers online and have chat sessions, interactive, real-time text conversations, with them.
Chats with Lotus Notes users are automatically secured with encryption. Chat is often used between members of a department or between departments to quickly exchange information. Because other Chats are not necessarily secure, only Sametime Chat should be used for this purpose.
